Deep-Fried Doves
Ingredients:
- whole doves
- hot sauce
- flour
- salt and pepper
- vegetable oil
Preparation:
Cut a one inch slice in each dove breast lengthwise on both sides of the breast bone. Shake 2 or 3 drops of hot sauce in cuts. Let doves 30 minutes. Roll in flour, salt, and pepper. Deep fry in vegetable oil until dove floats. Drain and serve with hot bread, cream gravy, pinto beans, and cold beverage.
