General Kelley's Doves
Ingredients:
- 6 to 8 whole doves
- butter or margarine
- Worcestershire sauce
- soy sauce
- lemon juice
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Put a teaspoon of butter or margarine into the body cavities of each dove. Place doves breast up on a sheet of aluminum foil large enough to cover the doves and hold liquids. Add a generous amount of Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Close and seal the aluminum foil so that the top is at least 2 inches above the dove breasts. Place in a pre-heated oven and bake at 350 F for 45 minutes or until fork tender. Serve with rice, hot rolls, biscuit, vegetable and green salad.
