Hot Bird Stew
Ingredients:
Instructions:
Cover mixture with water in large container and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove pepper and bones from birds. Thicken with flour or cornstarch. Serve over rice or biscuits.
- 1 qt. birds (dove is excellent)
- 1 stick butter
- 1 lb. mild sausage (bulk type)
- 1 hot pepper (optional)
- 2 drops pepper juice (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
