Call to Action!
We need to exert political pressure on the Conservation Fund Advisory Board, as they have a board relationship with members of the Legislature and under state law are to consult with wildlife and fisheries interests, which means hunters and anglers. The law governing and authorizing CFAB also stipulates they are to make recommendations on policies and programs affecting wildlife.
Stated more plainly: CFAB has many responsibilities. One of them includes relating your wants to the Legislature and the DEC.
There is a CFAB rep for every DEC region, plus one delegate from the NYSCC and another from the FWMB, plus an additional four ex-officio members.
We have three of the 15 CFAB members pushing for a dove season, but to get the others on board it is necessary that you contact the CFAB representing your region.
