The NY State Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus
The NY State Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus (NYSLSC) website describes the organization as “A liaison between the Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus and individual organizations”.
According to the NYSLSC’s website, they embody 80 NY lawmakers, four of which assume leadership positions in the organization; a Northeastern States Director, and four sportsmen who make up the organizations “NY Sportsmen’s Advisory Council”.
The NYSLSC is not to be confused with any of the following:
· NY State Conservation Council
· Senate Environmental Conservation Committee
· Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee
· Conservation Fund Advisory Board
· Fish and Wildlife Management Board
NYSLSC is a private, non-government organization. It is not a legislative committee such as En-Con, nor is it mandated by state law as is CFAB and FWMB.
The NYSAC is a board within the NYSLSC.

ACTION TO TAKE: If you are a member of any of the above organizations listed above which comprise the NY Sportsmen’s Advisory Council, it is important that you formally contact the council member for your respective organization and request he promotes a dove hunting proposal among the Caucus. Make it clear that this effort will require a proactive commitment in order to succeed and should not be treated as a lower priority or approached halfheartedly. Explain that this initiative was started many years ago and continues to disappoint many sportsmen.
